Brightfix Plus

Your PC, looked after without you remembering to.

Free fixes everything it finds. Plus keeps an eye on it for you: safe upkeep on a schedule, the apps you choose kept up to date, and a heads up when something important changes.

One payment, up to 5 PCs in your home 30 day refund
A typical week with Plus
  • Sunday, 7:00 PMAutopilot cleared 1.2 GB and turned off one startup app. A restore point was made first.
  • Sunday, 7:06 PM2 apps updated: 7-Zip and VLC. Zoom was open, so it waits until next week.
  • Tuesday, 3:12 PMA new program now starts with Windows: Updater (no publisher). Review it in Startup programs.
  • The rest of the weekNothing to report, so Brightfix stays quiet.

Autopilot

Once a week, at a time you pick, Brightfix runs the same safe fixes as Tune Up: temporary files, caches and startup suggestions you would turn off anyway.

  • Only low risk changes. Never removes apps, never touches your files.
  • A restore point first, every time.
  • A short summary afterwards, and the run shows in History and undo.
  • On a laptop it waits until you are plugged in.

Watchdog alerts

A few times a day Brightfix compares your PC with how it was and tells you, in plain words, when something important changed:

  • A new program starts with Windows
  • Your browser’s home page, search or extensions were forced by software
  • A remote access program appeared, the kind scammers ask you to install
  • A drive starts to wear out, or space runs low
  • Crashes started right after a Windows update

Keep my apps up to date

Pick the apps you want kept current, once. After each Autopilot run, Brightfix installs their updates for you.

  • Off until you turn it on. Nothing is ticked for you.
  • Only the apps you ticked. New apps are never added on their own.
  • Skips apps that are open, and waits for a charger.
  • Never touches Windows, drivers or firmware. Browsers update themselves.

Plus never fixes anything Home cannot. Updating apps by hand stays free in Home. Every alert has a Review button that opens the free tool that handles it. If you set something up on purpose, tell Watchdog and it stops reminding you.

Private by design

Watchdog runs on your PC and compares against a record kept on your PC. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Longer history

Keep more of your history and saved reports, so you can see what changed months ago.

Priority support

Email support@getbrightfix.com and Plus owners are answered first. We never ask to connect to your PC.

Questions about Plus

Do I need Plus to fix my PC?

No. Home finds and fixes problems for free, with no time limit. Plus only adds automation and alerts.

Is Plus a subscription?

No. It is one payment of $29 for up to 5 PCs in your household. You get 12 months of updates, and your license keeps working after that in every version released during those months.

Does Autopilot run while I am using the PC?

It runs at the time you pick, skips if a fix is already running, and waits for a charger on laptops. It never restarts your PC.

Can Autopilot break something?

It only runs the low risk changes Tune Up runs, and it makes a System Restore point first. Every run is listed in History and undo.

Can an app update break something?

It can change how an app looks or works, which is why it is off until you turn it on and only covers the apps you tick. A restore point is made first. Brightfix cannot roll an app back to its older version, and it tells you that before you turn it on.

What if I change my mind?

Email support@getbrightfix.com within 30 days for a full refund.

Does Plus work on a portable copy?

No. Autopilot, app updates and Watchdog need Brightfix installed, because they run on a schedule.

Let Brightfix keep an eye on it.
